How do I create a listing?
Tap the Sell tab at the bottom of the app. Add photos of your item, set a title, category, condition, and price. Don't forget to add the Memory — the personal story behind the item. Preview your listing and publish when ready.
How do offers work?
Buyers can send offers on any listing marked as negotiable. As a seller, you can accept, decline, or counter any offer. Offers expire after 48 hours if not responded to. Once accepted, both parties can arrange the meet-up through chat.
Is listing items free?
Yes. Listing and buying on Eras is completely free. We offer optional paid features — Bump pushes your listing to the top of the feed, and Promote gives your listing a featured badge for 1-7 days.
How does the meet-up work?
Eras is built for in-person meet-ups. Once you and the seller agree on a price through chat or accepted offer, you arrange to meet locally to exchange the item. Eras does not facilitate shipping or payment — these are handled directly between buyer and seller.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Profile > Settings > Danger Zone > Delete Account. This will permanently remove your account, personal data, and all listings. This action cannot be undone.
How do ratings and reviews work?
After a sale is completed, both the buyer and seller can leave a rating (1-5 stars) and an optional written review. Ratings are averaged and displayed on your profile. Reviews help build trust in the community.
What should I do if I see a suspicious listing?
Tap the menu icon on any listing and select "Report". Choose a reason (spam, prohibited item, fraudulent, offensive, counterfeit, or other) and add any details. Our moderation team reviews all reports.
Can I block another user?
Yes. Visit their profile, tap the menu icon, and select "Block". Blocked users cannot message you, send offers, or see your listings. You can unblock users from your settings.
How does location work?
Eras uses your location (with permission) to show nearby listings and set your listing location at the city/state level. We never track precise GPS continuously. You can disable location display on your profile in Privacy settings.
What are Bumps and Promotes?
Bump pushes your listing to the top of the feed as if it was just posted. You can bump once every 24 hours. Promote gives your listing a "Featured" badge and priority placement for 1, 3, or 7 days. These are one-time consumable purchases.
Can I get a refund on a Bump or Promote?
Bumps and Promotes are consumable in-app purchases that are applied immediately. Refunds are handled through Apple App Store or Google Play Store per their respective refund policies. Contact Apple or Google support for purchase-related issues.
